I love this site, I’m doing a research preoject for civics and this site has so much information. Marijuana has done so much help too people with cancer, It helps me and almost everyone of my friends. I go through alot everyday weed is just one of the up sides in life and too the people that think it’s not good for you, You obviously need too start dong more resaerch with it. I know parents that have done it for 30 years now daily and they have absaultly no health problems.

I use medical cannabis for the fibromyalgia I suffer with. I never was a user before and started using cannabis at age 52. Three years now with pain relief!
I am a straight 55 yr. old guy. I seldom drink alcohol. In fact, I no longer desire to drink a beer every once in a while since cannabis. A MIRACLE MEDICINE it is!!!!

What makes me most pissed is I believed all the BU** SH** for all those many years. Our dam*ed government is soooooooo corrupt!!

i beilive that the Govt does not want to make marijuana legal because they already make tons of money on it…..most marijuana that comes to the U.S. does not come from mexico or asny other place on earth….most of it is grown an sold right here in good ol U.S of A…………and who do you think is putting it back out on the streets when they take it away from you??????THE GOVT!!!!!!!!!they sit and tell their lies about how bad it is for you yet alcohol is 100 times worse and so are cigarettes…but that crap is still legal……this country needs to wake up and see the truth about marijuana!!!!!!!!…its not bad for you…its not possible to overdose on it..and ive never heard of ANYONE getting stoned and going out to rob a bank or killing a family …..its absurd and insane to think that a plant that naturally grows that way and has been used by millions for thousands of years…is sooooooooo horrible for you!

shana you have no idea what your talking about when you say “Everyone pro legalization is too stoned to actually argue a good point.” that is a very huge assumption that everyone pro marijuana is a “pothead” it is true that some want it leaalized to get “high” but others want it for the fact that it is a very helathy natural substance for humans to consume it has natural oils and organic material good for the human digestion system.
why are we keeping somthing that naturaly grows in america illigalized? people dont die from to much marijuana consumption, where as 400,000 a people a year die of tabacco how does that make any sense to keep marijuana illigal and keep other harmful, Mostly non-native to our country, drugs legalized?

I think a few of you need to do a little more research. THC is a psychoactive drug. It crosses the blood brain barrier and has adverse affects on your brain. It can actually shrink your hippocampus, and your amygdala. Im not sure where most of you are getting your “facts” but I think it would be a good idea to do some actual scientific research and stop relying on your own personal experiences. That’s why marijuana will never be legalized. Everyone pro legalization is too stoned to actually argue a good point.

Coffee contains 1,500 chemicals. Rat poison contains only 30 chemicals. Many vegetables contain cancer-causing chemicals. There is no correlation between the number of chemicals a substance contains and its toxicity. Prohibitionists often cite this misleading statistic to make marijuana appear dangerous.

There may be no correlation between number of chemicals in a substance and toxicity, but what do you say to someone who says there IS a correlation between TYPE of chemical and toxicity? You fail to address this. You also fail to address the study that tests BOTH heavy and casual users of marijuana, where both come out with inhibited cognitive ability. Oh, and the smoke in marijuana contains 50-70% more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than tabacco smoke, so whether or not it comes to twenty a day or not the smoke is much more harmful.
Instead of playing on rhetoric, why don’t you use hard facts?
